Iranian animation 'Take a Deep Breath!' has been selected to compete at the 14th edition of the Early Bird Film Festival in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
Directed by Zahra Safdari Shadlou, 'Take a Deep Breath!' is about a woman who overcomes the fear of presence in the society and her past bitter memories.
'Take a Deep Breath!' will compete with some 30 other titles from countries such as the UK, India, France, Germany, Poland, the US, the Netherlands, Spain, and Bulgaria in the animation section.
The other Iranian representatives in the Bulgarian film event are 'Blue Sky, Clean Earth' directed by Mahyar Mandegar as well as 'Slaughter' co-directed by Saman Hosseinpour and Ako Zand-Karimi in the fiction section.
A selection of 117 films from 80 countries will be competing in the Early Bird Film Festival this year.
Launched in 2005, the Early Bird International Student Film Festival is the biggest Bulgarian forum dedicated to support the creation of student short films.
The festival is fully devoted to help young filmmakers to reach their audience.
The latest edition of the film festival is slated for November 1-5, 2018.
